ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marvel Stadium Digital & Social Lead is responsible for the development and execution of the overall digital and social strategy across all Marvel Stadium digital channels to deliver on business objectives of increasing brand awareness & consideration, audience acquisition, attendance & conversion. They will oversee the planning, development and execution across the stadiums owned channels including social, website, mobile app, EDM as well as all paid media.
Please note this is a max-term position until early June 2026.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver overall plan for Marvel Stadium digital and social channels, incl. content across website, app, EDMs, and social media platforms
- Collaborate with the Manager - Stadium & Premium marketing to develop and deliver effective digital communication strategy’s across the year related to events (Stadium, Precinct Corporate) & Products (Retail, Merchandise, F&B)
- Own and execute the social media strategy for Marvel Stadium accounts, including creating content plans for the long-term (upper funnel KPIs) while also taking advantage of contextual opportunities
- Manage all Marvel Stadium social media accounts and community management, including creating and publishing content, responding to patron queries and engaging with followers
- Oversee the development of digital marketing campaigns across CRM, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, YouTube and other paid channels, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies
- Develop and execute rolling 12m EDM calendar in Mailchimp and salesforce promoting upcoming events and activity
- Update Stadium App content, push promotions, notifications, organise offers with key stakeholders and monitor performance
- Work closely with Marvel Stadium, AFL teams and external partners to plan and execute promotion of events, offers and other activities on digital and social channels
- Collaborate with Manager - Stadium & Premium marketing to oversee the digital content plan development liaising with external agency/freelancers, while assisting in capturing social media content at Marvel Stadium events when needed
- Deliver regular reports to various Marvel Stadium and AFL teams on digital and social media performance, audience engagement, content interests etc
- Manage tenant club and AFL home game relationships for marketing including delivery of core messaging across channels from both Club and Stadium perspective, fan engagement and reporting
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- 6+ years of experience in digital and social media management, with agency experience highly desirable
- Track record of building brands and delivering on lower funnel KPIs through efficient digital/social planning and content development
- Experience and proven proficiency managing brand social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other relevant platforms
- A deep understanding of social media trends and best practices to ensure Marvel Stadium’s content cuts through with target audiences
- Experience using social media publishing and analytics dashboards such as Emplifi, Hootsuite, Sprinklr or similar
- Experience with Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other CRMs
- Experience managing Mobile applications across IOS and android highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing websites and understanding of performance using tools similar to Google Analytics, Tableau, HotJar and other analytics tools desirable
- Some technical/strategic skills across Facebook Ads, Google Ads and other paid digital channels desirable
- A passion for and understanding of hospitality and live events and their subject matter - e.g. sports, music - will be highly regarded
- A proactive person with a creative and curious mind who is relentless in pushing the boundaries of what's been done before, and always looks for new opportunities to deliver on brand objectives and lower funnel KPIs
