Health and Safety Advisor

 

RobLawMax is partnered with a major resource company located on the coastline of the Bowen Basin. 

About the role:

Implementing the Safety Management System and undertaking related site reviews and audits for compliance. Providing safety and injury management support including the development of risk assessments, site safety specific requirements, inspections, and audits. Prepare reports for site inspections, investigations, and incidents. Support safety training. Participating in toolbox talks and pre-start meetings. Contribute to the development of safety documentation, procedures, policies and training. Maintain safety risk registers. Oversee Injury Management & return to work plans.

To be considered for this Health & Safety Advisor role you will ideally possess:

  • Ability to motivate internal and external stakeholders to achieve ‘zero harm’ objectives
  • Sound knowledge of risk management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships, including the ability to provide toolbox talks and training
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the application of all relevant workplace health and safety legislation, principles, practices and standards
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or higher
  • Lead ICAM qualification

There are multiple roles available for different levels of experience including Coordinator (3-5 years experience) and officer (1-2 Years experience).
