Senior Media, Communications and Engagement Officer

About the company:

Our client is a State Government department who is currently seeking a motivated Senior Media, Communications and Engagement Officer to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until April 2025. 

About the role:

• Researching and preparing well written and engaging communications content for a variety of audiences
• Planning, managing and prioritising communications and engagement activities to successfully meet deadlines and reporting requirement
• Event planning including the preparation of event specific materials including briefing notes, function profiles, program schedules and event run sheets.
• Stakeholder relationship management using consultative, interpersonal skills to successfully communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

• You will ideally have previous government experience
• Positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills with effective engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

Benefits:

• ASAP start date (Pending Police Clearance)
• Casual Temporary Assignment until April 2025
• Full time hours Monday to Friday
• $71.72 per hour + super
• Brisbane CBD Location – close to all major public transport links
