About the role
The Associate Director provides strategic direction and support for the nursing and midwifery leadership, culture, research and workforce development initiatives across the NNSW Local Health District. The position works with the District Director of Nursing and Midwifery to ensure the efficient and effective day to day operational and/or strategic leadership and management of nursing and midwifery services to enable delivery of high standards of care for patients and their families. Clinician engagement and leadership has been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The LHD is committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services.
