Workforce Planning & Operations Manager
About the role
We're seeking an experienced event or operations manager who understands the link between workforce engagement and delivering world-class guest experiences.
You'll love workforce planning and enjoy ensuring the right people, are in the right place, at the right time. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this role is a senior leader within our People & Culture team. We believe people are the key to our growth and success - and our People & Culture team plays a critical role in optimising the performance and capability of our event workforce to enable them to deliver world class events at our precinct.
Leading a team of Workforce Operations professionals, and in partnership with key functional areas and venue leaders, you'll be responsible for the workforce planning, skills development, engagement and effectiveness of our event delivery workforce.
Here are some of the game-changing things you'll be involved in:
Event Workforce Communication, Skills Development & Effectiveness
- Through leading your team and collaborating with others, you'll ensure that the Event Workforce are aligned, engaged and delivering to world class standards.
- In partnership with the Organisational Capability team, you'll develop and implement a fit-for-purpose performance and capability framework for the Event Workforce.
Workforce Planning Leadership
- You will be a strategic and collaborative leader who brings value and expertise in large scale workforce planning and operations.
- You'll oversee the scheduling and planning for the event workforce, ensuring our recently transformed technology solution is embedded and meets the needs of our growing business.
IR/ER Frameworks
- Your understanding of ER/IR frameworks such as enterprise bargaining agreements, awards, workplace policies and frameworks will enable you to support your team to manage tier one issues in the best possible way for the employee and guest experience. You'll have the support of experienced HR professionals to manage more complex issues.
People & Guest Experience
- The people experience will be at the centre of every decision you make. You will work closely with the People Experience Manager to ensure our people experience is optimised at every level and enhances the attraction and retention of a world class team to enable us to provide the best possible guest experience.
Deep Business Knowledge & Relationships
- You will be a natural relationship builder and enjoy engaging with leaders and team members at all levels. This enables you to have and deep understanding the challenges and opportunities to uplift our workforce planning function.
