About the Role

The People and Culture Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning our people strategy with our business objectives. By building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing expert HR guidance, this role ensures that our organisation attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The P&C Business Partner drives workplace harmony, fosters leadership development, and supports strategic growth initiatives, ultimately contributing to a positive, high-performing, and inclusive workplace culture.

What You'll Do:

As our P&C Business Partner, you'll be at the forefront of driving our people strategy. Here's a sneak peek at what your role will involve:

  • Business Partnering: Build strong, trust-based relationships with our team leaders and provide expert advice on all things HR. You'll be the go-to person for interpreting legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Workplace Relations: Lead the charge in resolving workplace matters, facilitating mediations, and conducting investigations. Your goal? Empower our employees to resolve issues and create a positive work environment.
  • Workforce Planning: Advise on strategic growth, succession planning, and team management. Help shape the future of our workforce with your insights and expertise.
  • Organisational Development: Lead exciting People & Culture projects, drive organisational change, and support our leaders in shaping a positive team culture.
  • Strategic HRM: Use your analytical skills to drive strategic HR initiatives and respond to industry trends. Your data-driven approach will help us make informed decisions.
  • Leadership Coaching: Mentor and coach our organisational leaders to enhance their skills and effectiveness. Your guidance will contribute significantly to the personal and professional development of our leadership team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Essential Criteria

  • 4+ Years experience in generalist Human Resources
  • Valid RSA & RCG Competency Card
  • Return to Work Coordination Certification
  • Formal qualifications related to the key position accountabilities and capabilities as detailed above
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to deal with a wide variety of employees
  • Sophisticated analytical skills and ability to develop practical solutions
  • Demonstrate behaviours which are in line with the Bankstown District Sports Club core and culture values
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, deliver to deadlines and perform under pressure, while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Ability to travel between multiple work locations
  • Professional to Certified level capability in accordance with AHRI’s ‘Australian HR Capability Framework’ (as at July 2023)
