Government announces up-skilling fund
The Federal Government has announced $45 million in funding for a new Skills Connect Fund, which aims to provide industry with a single point of access for skills and workforce development support.
According to Federal Minister for Skills, Craig Emerson, the Fund will be a ‘one-stop-shop’ for businesses looking to up-skill their workforce.
"This investment will help Australian businesses get the support they need to stay competitive," Minister Emerson said.
The Fund is based on stakeholder feedback and will enable businesses to efficiently customise services to meet their specific workforce needs.
