The Federal Court has ordered an end to the ongoing nursing unprotected industrial action in Victoria, ending a week of ongoing stoppages that put strain on the state’s surgical capacity.

Nurses at 15 of the state’s public hospitals were involved in rolling stoppages aimed at guaranteeing staffing levels and improved pay.

The Federal Court has ended the dispute with an injunction, with nurses facing hefty fines if they defy the order to return to work.
